Apartment in historic wharehouse in the centre of Amsterdam

Our house is situated in a long row of historic wharehouses in the centre of Amsterdam, along a canal with houseboats and facing the Zoo. The wharehouses were transformed into apartments; the old walls and ceilings with their thick wooden beams remained.
Our flat has a living room, bedroom and a study overviewing the canal and the Zoo (sunny side) and on the back are the kitchen, bathroom, guest/tv-room and a balcony.
We have all the regular household stuff, and the kitchen is well equipped (we like cooking). There is art on our walls, many books and plants on the balcony.
The apartment is on the 4th floor, there is an elevator (only halfway up).
Neighbourhood
Although we live in the busy centre of Amsterdam, the neighbourhood is very quiet. The only noises come from elephants and monkeys in the Zoo and we look out over trees.
At the same time it is only a 20 minute walk to the opera house, musea, hortus botanicus and markets.
Restaurants, café's and a supermarkets are near, the tram-stop is only a 5 minutes walk.
Our family
We are a retired couple, during our working life we were a graphic designer and manager of a printing firm. We have enjoyed many exchanges since 1995 (with intervals).
We are open to all exchange offers in Europe. We are flexible with dates and periods, also non-simultaneous exchanges are possible.
We have no children, nor pets. We can accommodate up to 3 people, however our home is not suitable for small children and pets.
