Jasmine Cottage is currently not available for exchange as we are selling.

Jasmine Cottage is a small miner's cottage in Cornwall dating back to 1800. It will suit a couple or small family wanting a tranquil location and wishing to explore Cornwall and Devon. The cottage is one in a row of four and is accessed via a steep woodland track. Along with the cottage are two parcels of woodland one being more cultivated and the other being more wild. The cottage comprises a living room with wood burner set into a large stone fireplace complete with clome oven, a kitchen with an oil fired Rayburn stove for cooking and central heating, a bathroom, a double bedroom, a small single bedroom and an attic room with a double bed. There is also a travel cot for those with a baby or small child.

Calstock is a small Cornish village on the banks of the Tamar half an hour from the market town of Tavistock http://www.tavistock-devon.co.uk/ and Plymouth http://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/ The city of Plymouth has a variety of restaurants, a theatre and cinemas as well as tourist attractions such as The Hoe and the Barbarian. The capital city of Cornwall, Truro is just over an hour away by car http://www.visittruro.org.uk/ Around the cottage are too many woodland walks to mention from short strolls to long hikes. The stunning Cotehele House is about 15 minutes walk away http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/cotehele

Whilst a car is advisable, Calstock is half an hour by train on a very pretty branch line from Plymouth. Plymouth has a main line station connecting to London (approximately 3 1/2 hours.).

Because Calstock is in South East Cornwall there is also easy access to Devon and so is ideally situated for those wanting to explore both Cornwall and Devon. Jasmine Cottage is also only 30 minutes away from the cross-channel ferry which connects you to Brittany in France.

NOTE
Whilst Jasmine Cottage has a double bedroom, a single bedroom a double bed in the attic room and a double sofa bed in the living room it is possible to sleep 7 people in total but it is a small, traditional Cornish cottage and is only suitable for a couple or a small family.
