Enjoy hiking in the region Central Switzerland and maybe take a ride on a summer toboggan run. Ride bike and enjoy the area around Niederrohrdorf. Explore the medieval castles of Lenzburg, Brunegg , Habsburg or Wildegg. The cities of Baden, Zofingen and Rheinfelden are very attractive medieval towns.
The big busy cities Basel, Zurich, Luzern and Bern with their attractions are nearby.
Europe's largest waterfall "Rheinfall" and Schaffhausen near the northern border.
Visit a museum about dinosaurs or mammoths and admire the skeletons.
The Romans built a legionary camp in Vindonissa and you can visit a theatre in Augusta Raurica. Both sites are interesting to explore with kids.
Do you like some more action? Go and visit the waterpark Aquabasilea in Basel or the Alpamare in Pfäffikon. Why not spend a day at the Europa Park in Rust, Germany?
Visit the Canton of Appenzell where typical Swiss traditions are still alive.

About the neighborhood
Niederrohrdorf is situated in a lovely hilly environment from where you’ve got wonderful views of the alps and the Mittelland. The near forest and a small moor with ponds offer a variety of walks and recreation.
Our house is in the centre of the village (pop. 4700). All the necessary facilities such as grocery, pharmacy, chemist, post-office, 1 restaurant, Pizza and Kebab take away, bakery, playground, hairdresser, bank and gym are within walking distance.
Our house has got three floors. On the groundfloor are the well equiped kitchen, a lavatory and the living room with access to the patio. On the first floor are the master bedroom and two single bedrooms each with a bed and an additional mattress. There's also a second lavatory with a shower and a tub. On the third floor we have another room with TV, BluRay/DVD, HiFi, Computer, books, etc. There you also have access to the terrace where you can enjoy the sunset, drinking a glass of wine.
Baden ist he nearest city (8km, buses every 15min.) and in the „Rough Guide“ it is described as a pleasant relaxing spa town. Its ancient Old Town is worth a visit. Baden is the cultural centre of the region (theaters, cinemas, museums, exhibitions, concerts). Also you’ll find many nice restaurants there.
Most of the touristic sites and also the cities Zurich, Luzern, Basel and Bern are easy to reach either by train or by car. The airport Zurich is close (1/2 hour drive). The „Black Forest“ in Germany is a 60 min. drive away. A bit further away, about an 1 1/2 hours drive is the“Elsass“ in France.

Very fine house that gives you the best accommodation. Claudia & Beat are very friendly and good caring people. The house is situated in the more flat region of Switserland with nice forrests and lakes nearby. Good for walking and swimming. We enjoyed Baden, Zürich and Luzern.
The house corresponded to the descriptions and photos. We felt very comfortable. It was ideally located for exploring the beautiful archipelago or further afield. Gothenburg was very easy to reach by public transport. Stine was very helpful and kind.
Sehr freundlicher Kontakt. Haus entsprach den Beschreibungen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We're a family of four. My husband and I work both parttime. Beat works with the Swiss railway and I, Claudia, as a primaryschool teacher. Our kids Laurin and Nuria are 22 and 21 years old. We like to go hiking, biking and inlineskating.
