Bright, modern apartment on 3 floors in the village center, between Zurich and Basel
We live with our two cats in the heart of a small village, just 30 minutes from Zurich, 1.5 hours from Basel and 10 minutes from Baden AG.
Our newly renovated and furnished flat spans three floors in a lovingly restored building dating from 1881. A young family lives in the neighbouring part of the house, and we share the building, which has two separate entrances, much like a semi-detached house. On the ground floor, you’ll find the guest bathroom with a washbasin, toilet and washing machine/dryer, as well as Mirella’s creative space. On the middle floor, you’ll find the bedroom, the bathroom with a toilet, washbasin and shower, and André’s workspace. On the top floor are the open-plan living area, the open-plan kitchen and the dining area. Throughout the flat, only the two bathrooms and the bedroom have doors; all other areas are open-plan, like in a loft.
Our cats are 7 years old – a male and a female, who are siblings. They are very affectionate, with the female being even more so than the male. Both are outdoor cats and can go outside through a cat flap on the ground floor.

The village is connected by three bus routes, so you can quickly get to Baden and the train station from here. Ehrendingen has a supermarket, a pharmacy, a post office, a bank, a flower shop, a stationery store, a bakery, a theater, and a Sardinian restaurant. Many hiking trails start from here, including those to the Lägeren and the Lägerengrat. Within 1-2 hours you can reach the foothills of the Alps and the Alps themselves by train or car.

Hiking and traveling couple with 2 cuddly cats
We are a family of the ‘fabulous 4’:
André & Mirella with our two cats.
André works as an IT consultant, and Mirella is a branch manager in Baden AG.
At the weekends, we spend most of our time outdoors. We love stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, camping, swimming, skiing and snowboarding, and we enjoy going to cafés or simply meeting up with friends.
We have two lovely cats who live in our flat and need looking after whilst we’re on holiday.
We’ve already had five successful exchanges, but unfortunately our previous references weren’t carried over after we moved house.
We have two adult children (aged 21 and 22) who live in Germany, but they still enjoy travelling with us when the opportunity arises.
